How to Choose your Take-out Robots?
Firstly, you should confirm the vertical stroke of take-out robots. To confirm the vertical stroke, we need you to provide the following information about the injection molding machines:
A: Distance from nozzle centre to fixed platen. This information affects the vertical stroke of the take out robot.
B: Distance from fixed platen to safety door top. This information tells us how much space are allowed for robot to move products out of the injection machine. If vertical space is not enough, products can't be taken out successfully.
C: Distance from the safety door top to crane. This information decides if customer should use a single stage arm take out robot or telescopic arm take out robot. If space allows, we would recommend our customer to use single stage arm take out robot because it's cheaper, can help our customer reduce cost. If space not enough, we will recommend our customer to use telescopic arm take out robot.
D: Product size, shape, weight and product photo. This information give us idea about the type of jig or EOAT that will be used to take out the products.
Normally, A + B + height of the jig + product height = vertical stroke of the take out robot. Also, we should take product weight into consideration in case robot can't bear the weight of the products. For example, 500(A )+ 160(B) + 50mm (height of our jig) + 50mm ( product height) = 760. We should use a take out robot which vertical stroke is greater than 760mm - A 800mm or 900mm robot.
Secondly, you have to confirm the type of take-out robots. We have swing take-out robots and traversing take-out robots (1-axis, 2-axis, 3-axis, 5-axis, one arm, two arms). 1+2 = the take out robot. For example, if you need a 800mm traversing 1-axis take-out robot with one arm, there is one we recommend: RHD800IS (RHD means traversing 1-axis take-out robot, 800 means robot vertical stroke 800mm, I means single stage, S means single arm).
