With the rapid development of plastic processing industry in China, injection molding machine robot automation is getting more and more popular. Modern injection molding machines are often equipped with robots to improve production efficiency. The injection molding machine robot is an automated production device that can mimic some of the functions of human arms, it can reduce the heavy manual labor, improve working conditions and prevent safety issues in production. It can also improve the production efficiency of injection molding machine, stabilize product quality, reduce scrap rate, reduce production costs, enhance the enterprise's  competitiveness.  

The injection molding machine robots are generally composed by: the execution system, driving system, control system and so on. The driving system is designed to complete the normal function of the arms.through the pneumatic or hydraulic power to drive the operation of mechanical parts to achieve the function of taking products.Control system controls the drive system, so that the implementation of the system in accordance with a predetermined process to operate.  

The operator controls the injection molding machine robot through the man-machine interface. When robot receives executable signal from the injection molding machine, the robot cut off the signal of the injection molding machine so that the mold can not be closed,ensure that robot hands can get into mold and get products. After the robot completely take out products from the mold, robot will recover all signals so that the injection molding machine can move normally. The difficulty of the design of the control system lies in the coordination between the manipulator and the injection molding machine. Under the command of the control system, the robot performs the various actions in accordance with a predetermined working procedure, thereby removing the product produced by the injection from the mold and transferring it to the designated place or the next production process. 

As the injection molding machine robots can: significantly improve productivity ,reduce production costs, stabilize and improve the quality of injection molding products, avoid human from getting injured caused by operational errors. Therefore, the role of injection molding machine robot is becoming more and more important. At present, the domestic type of robot is relatively simple. With the development of injection industry, there will be more and more robots used for feeding, mixing, automatic loading and unloading, recycling and other processes.
